How AyahPod curates listening
AyahPod is a free web app for calm, ad-free Quran listening, made for children and families. This page documents how the listening experiences on AyahPod are put together, so that every claim on the site can be checked.
Where the recordings come from
Every recording on AyahPod is streamed unchanged from an established Quran audio archive: MP3Quran (mp3quran.net), EveryAyah (everyayah.com) and TVQuran (tvquran.com). The live radio streams on the home player come from Qurango (qurango.net). AyahPod does not host, edit, trim or re-upload Quran audio.
Each playlist page lists every recording with the name of its reciter and a link to the source archive, both in the visible page and in its structured data, so attribution is never hidden.
How a recording is selected
A recording is added only when it meets all of these conditions: it comes from an established archive with a direct, stable HTTPS file link; the reciter is clearly identified by the archive; and, for surah playlists, it is a complete recording of the surah. The editing tool used to manage playlists drops any link that is not HTTPS.
When a reciter was considered but no reliable direct source could be found, the reciter was not added. AyahPod publishes only reciters’ names and their recordings; it publishes no biographies or credentials, because it has not verified any.
How the playlists are composed
Daily Listening is Al-Fatihah followed by the 37 surahs of Juz Amma in Quran order, all by one reciter, so a child hears the short surahs in their familiar sequence. Sleep & Calm is a short set of well-known surahs and Ayat al-Kursi for quiet bedtime listening. Long Calm Recitations are complete long surahs by one reciter for uninterrupted listening. The Mohammed Taha Al-Junaid playlist is a small selection of recordings by that reciter. The exact recordings, counts and reciters are always shown on each playlist page from live data.

Pace and tone (editorial)
AyahPod’s editorial preference is unhurried, gentle recitation for quiet listening. This is a listening preference chosen by AyahPod, not a claim about effects on sleep, attention, mood or learning. AyahPod makes no medical, psychological or educational claims about its playlists.
What never interrupts listening
There are no advertisements, no sponsored audio and no autoplay of unrelated content. A playlist plays its recordings in order and stops by itself after the last one; nothing else starts once a child is asleep. The live radio streams play continuously until they are stopped.
When audio breaks
If a recording fails to load, the player retries it once and then moves to the next recording; if every recording fails, the player shows OFFLINE instead of playing anything else. All source files are checked by an automated monitor, and streams that stop working are disabled until a working source is found.
Privacy and design principles
Listening needs no account and no personal details. AyahPod stores one cookie to remember language and theme, and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-less, aggregate visit counter, to know how many people visit. There are no advertising trackers. The interface uses one accent colour, no flashing elements and no notifications, and the player stays the focus of every listening page.
